Fried Apples

8 apples, peeled,cored and sliced
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon clove
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar

1. Melt butter in saucepan and add remainder of ingredients.
2. Simmer until apples are tender about 20-25 minutes .

Great recipe! Great as a topping for the oatmeal, warm over vanilla ice cream or on pancakes!
