vegetable or canola oil ( not olive)
flour
Any time you have to butter and flour a pan, use this instead.  It works every time and is easier than trying to get all the nooks and crannies of the pan.

Mix equal parts of shortening, oil (vegetable or canola - not olive) and flour.  Store in the refrigerator when not using.

Using a pastry brush, brush the insides of your cake pan.  Your cakes will never stick and will literally fall out of the pan when you turn them out.
